I have been using Sync since April 2017. I was looking to replace GoogleDrive and Dropbox, both not very privacy friendly as we know. Furthermore, the company and more importantly, their all servers should be based outside of U.S. (I`m sorry American friends, but I`m sure you know what I mean). Sync is based in Canada, which has better privacy law compared to their neighbors.
To test the waters as one says, I signed up for free account which gave me 5GB Free for life. I played with it by uploading and downloading files. Checked the speed and so on. So far so good.
Regardless of how good or bad software is, for me the biggest priority is Support Response. I got in touch with them to ask a few pre-sales questions. At that time I needed Pro features without braking my wallet and SYNC was perfect when comes to the price. I received reply within very short time. I`m based in Europe, so the time difference played a role here as well. Again, so far so good. I asked more questions which were answered again in timely manner. Test passed.
As you know pre-sales support (got new fish to catch a hook) and ongoing support are 2 different things.
I had decided to upgrade to Solo Pro Account, which allows me to send secure links including enhanced one, (the latter cannot be opened on smartphones) expiration date and time, password protection and download limits. I use a lot for sensitive data for my clients. I also receive email, each time file or folder is downloaded.
Even though I was very pleased with it, I contacted support to ask a question and also suggested a few enhancement that it would be good to see. Again, they did not disappoint me. I received reply to my questions and I was also told that their team take any feedback seriously.
